The State government has relaxed the rules for women who are applying for village revenue officer and village revenue assistant posts. So far, only local people were allowed to apply for the posts. With the relaxation of norms, daughters’ in law can also apply if they hold Aadhar cards and voter cards in the respective villages. This will benefit married women as they can get jobs in their native villages if they qualify in the written examination.
Srikakulam Additional Joint Collector RS Rajakumar, Srikakulam District Revenue Officer Nur Bhasim Khasim on Friday announced the notification for filling the posts of 77 VROs and 176 VRA posts. They said that candidates aged up to 36 years can apply for the posts. The government has given five years’ age relaxation to SCs and STs. Physically challenged persons up to 46 years of age can apply for the posts.
The candidates have to apply before January 13 and the exam will be conducted on February 2. A help desk with toll free number (1800 425 6625) has been created to clarify the doubts of candidates.
In Vizianagaram, Additional Joint Collector U.C.G. Nageswara Rao told a press conference notification for recruitment of 90 VRO and 137 VRA posts would be issued on December 28.
As the candidates must fill application forms online, they can utilise eSeva services by remitting not more than Rs.10.
