Held at Vancouver, Canada from 09.07.2018 to 13.07.2018.
The main aim is to promote, preserve and practice the Sanskrit language.
It is being held once in every three years across the world.
It has been held thrice in India(1981- Varanasi, 1997- Bangalore & 2012- New Delhi)
Ramon Magsaysay Award-2018
Bharat Vatwani & Sonam Wangchukare were the Indians declared for 2018 Ramon Magsaysay Award.
It is also regarded as Asian version of the Nobel Prize.
The prize was established in April 1957 by the trustees of the Rockfeller Brothers Fund of New York City with the concurrence of the Philippine Government.
* Aruna Sairam has been selected for 2018 Sangita Kalanidhi award of Music Academy.
* The National Kalidas Samman was conferred on Anjolie Ela Menon by the Madhya Pradesh Government for her contribution to visual arts.
* Sunil Chhetri wins AIFF player of the Year Award for the year 2017.
* Kamala Devi had been declared AIFF woman Footballer for the year 2017.
* Anirudh Thapa had been declared AIFF Emerging Footballer of the year 2017.
* Himadas became the first Indian to win a Gold medal in a track event at the World Junior Athletics Championships in 2018, also known as World U20 Championships in Athletics at Tampere, Finland.

* Men's Singles Winner Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Runner up - Kevin Anderson ( South Africa)
* Women's Singles - Winner Angelique Kerber(Germany), Runner up - Serena Williams(USA)
